NOTE TO CONTRIBUTORS

  1. Contributions are accepted on original works only

  2. Contributions should not be more than 15 pages including figures, tables andreferences.

  3. Figures and tables must be numbered and referred to in the paper by number. Tables and figures should be on separate sheets. All figures and photographs should be originals.

  4. Manuscript should be neatly typed, double spaced on one side of an A4 size paper. The typeface should be Times New Roman and the font size should be 12

  5. Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file.

  6. As much as possible, footnotes should be minimal and marked by a superscript number and shown in the script.

  7. The first page should contain the Title of the article, Author's full name, Qualification, Place of work, E-mail, Postal address and Telephone numbers.

  8. The Title should be a brief phrase describing the contents of the paper.

  9. Each paper must have an informative abstract that briefly present the topic, state the scope of the experiments, indicate significant data and point out major findings and conclusions. It must not be more than 200 words.

  10. Authors should include at least three to seven keywords or phrases for the paper.

  11. The Introduction should provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, and the proposed approach or solution. It should be understandable to colleagues from a broad range of scientific disciplines.

  12. Common abbreviations like mm, cm, min, % etc should be used only with numerals. Measurement should be in SI units.

  13. Materials and Methods should be complete enough to allow experiments to be reproduced. However, only truly new procedures should be described in detail; previously published procedures should be cited, and important modifications published procedures should be mentioned briefly.

  14. Results should be presented with clarity and precision. The results should be written in the past tense when describing findings in the authors' experiments. Previously published findings should be written in the present tense. The Discussion should interpret the findings in view of the results obtained in this and in past studies on this topic.

  15. State the Conclusions in a few sentences at the end of the paper.

  16. Referencing:
    References in the text should be cited using the publication manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) thus:
    1. One author, Matthew (2007);
    2. two authors, Chisom and Olusegun (2010);
    3. Three or more authors, Mande et al (2012).
    References should be grouped alphabetically at the end of each paper in the following systems:
    • Periodicals: Author(s), year, title, unabbreviated journal's name, volume, number, issue number, pagination. E.g. Ifidon, O. T (2011). "This is distilled water".....Hydrological Journals 5(3): pp. 14-17.

    • Books: Author(s), year, title, place of publication, publisher, pagination. Eg. David, G. B. (2005) "Total Quality Control" New York: Wiley, p.125.

    • Individual Chapters in Books: Eg. Evans, T. S. and Emeka, P. J. (2007). "Water Supply and Demand" In: Johnson, W. E. (eds) Water Resources Management in Nigeria. London: Academic Press, p. 53.

    • Conferences and Symposia: Eg. Nkem, J. P. and Chuks, M. F. (2013). Gender Mainstreaming in Water and Sanitation Challenges. In Towards the Millennium Development Goals: Action for Water and Environmental Sanitation. Proceedings of 25th WEDC International Conference, Benue Nigeria, July, 10- 15, pp.97.

  17. The paper must be organized in this order, printed heading in capitals consisting of title, author(s) names and Abstract, Introduction, Main body of paper, Conclusion, References.

  18. Authors will be given a complimentary copy of the journal. Full postal address(s) of author(s) should be given on the last page of the paper to allow for communication.

  19. If an acknowledgement is required, please provide details of the acknowledgement before references, leave two blank lines; insert the Acknowledgement heading thus:

    • The author would like to acknowledge the contributions of the following........... Submission of Manuscript is free.

    • Reviewed and accepted manuscript will be charged NGN10, 000.00 or its equivalent in USD.

    • Evidence of the payment will also be sent by email to the Editor-in-Chief before manuscript is published.


    SUBSCRIPTION
    • The Journal will be published bi-annually (June and December). Individual copies will cost NGN2000.00 or its equivalent in USD.
